The challenges of being a “Good Mother” in Japan with Acco Omata

Acco Omata is a busy mother of three boys who is working on creating her best life. One thing that helped her to find her own voice and start to experiment with changing things that she didn’t like was starting her own podcast: Across the World. It was a big surprise to me when she said that noticing what I was doing on the TWJ podcast helped her to get started! We really do not know what reactions our actions will cause in the world!

About Acco:

Acco Omata is a podcaster, imperfect story teller, and mother of three boys.

Born and raised in Hiroshima, she has started her career as an analyst in an American multinational company in Tokyo.

After giving birth to her 1st son, she moved to Singapore with her family and stayed there for 11 years, and one year in Malaysia.

She started her podcast, "Across the World" in 2019, in order to pursue her passion of sharing life stories, after settling into her new life in Japan.

She organizes online communities, coaches Japanese women who want to live the life they love, and helps in planning and organizing Online/Offline events.
